Description

Review and analyze title abstracts and prepare title commitments; review and read surveys, property records, lien searches, and other due diligence materials, including entity documents.
Identify, assess, and help resolve title issues and underwriting risks related to commercial real estate transactions.
Advise clients on matters involving fee ownership, leasehold interests, easements, access rights, encumbrances, survey matters, and multi-site project portfolios.
Conduct online property, lien, and public-record searches as needed.
Manage the development, financing, acquisition, and closing of commercial real estate transactions.
Communicate with clients, counsel for transaction parties, title companies, and underwriting counsel at national title insurers.
Proactively identify, assess, and resolve risks as they arise, exercising sound judgment in issue escalation and resolution recommendations.
Manage matters independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy, responsiveness, and ownership.

Requirements

Juris Doctor (JD) required.
Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in commercial real estate title insurance, title underwriting, real estate law, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience reviewing title abstracts, commitments, surveys, liens, encumbrances, and other title-related materials.
High level of ownership and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously.
