Description
University Eye Specialists (UES) is seeking an Oculoplastic Surgeon to join our established, physician-owned ophthalmology practice in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Founded in 1935, University Eye Specialists has served the East Tennessee community for more than 90 years. Our practice is a comprehensive ophthalmology organization with multiple locations, experienced physicians and staff, and the resources necessary to support a successful surgical practice.
The Opportunity
The incoming surgeon will assume an established oculoplastic practice with the opportunity for immediate patient volume and continued growth.
The position offers:
Established patient base following the retirement of a long-standing oculoplastic surgeon
Existing referral relationships throughout East Tennessee
Opportunity to perform a broad range of oculoplastic, eyelid, orbital, lacrimal, and reconstructive procedures
Access to a physician-owned Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC)
Collaborative relationships with a large group of ophthalmologists and optometrists
Experienced clinical and administrative support
Opportunity to develop additional areas of clinical or surgical interest
Competitive compensation and benefits
Partnership/ownership opportunity
Long-term stability within an established physician-owned organization
An Established Organization
In addition to our clinical practice and ASC, UES has an affiliated real estate company that owns and manages practice-related properties, providing additional organizational stability and opportunities for long-term physician ownership and passive income.
We are committed to maintaining the physician-focused culture that has been central to the practice throughout its history while continuing to invest in our physicians, facilities, technology, and patient care.
Knoxville offers an outstanding combination of professional opportunity and quality of life. The city provides the amenities of a growing metropolitan area while maintaining easy access to the outdoors, including the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
East Tennessee offers excellent opportunities for boating, hiking, golf, and other outdoor activities, along with a vibrant restaurant, arts, and sports community. Knoxville also provides convenient access to Asheville, Chattanooga, Nashville, and other major Southeastern destinations.
Join an Established Practice
This is an excellent opportunity for an oculoplastic surgeon seeking an established practice rather than starting from scratch. The incoming physician will have the opportunity to assume an existing patient base and referral network while becoming an important part of the future of a practice that has served the community since 1935.
Interested physicians are encouraged to contact us for additional information.
