Who we’re looking for
We are seeking two experienced, motivated lawyers to join our Truganina office:
1 x Property Lawyer — experienced in residential and commercial conveyancing, property transactions, contract preparation and settlement.
1 x Criminal Lawyer — experienced in criminal defence and related matters, appearances at Magistrates’ Court and higher courts, and client advocacy.
Minimum requirements (both roles)
Unrestricted Practising Certificate in Victoria (mandatory)
Minimum 2–4 years post-admission experience (or equivalent demonstrable experience) — more senior candidates encouraged to apply
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience with Leap Software
High attention to detail, excellent time management, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively
Professional indemnity and compliance awareness
Role responsibilities — Property Lawyer
Manage a caseload of residential and commercial property matters from instruction to settlement
Draft, review and negotiate contracts, transfers, mortgages and related documents
Liaise with clients, real estate agents, banks, and other conveyancers/solicitors
Conduct title searches, prepare settlement adjustments, and attend settlements as required
Provide clear cost estimates and timely client updates, prepare applications for Sub Divisions.
Experience with Wills, POA's and Probate.
Role responsibilities — Criminal Lawyer
Conduct client interviews and provide strategic advice on criminal matters
Represent clients at Magistrates’, County and Supreme Courts as required
Prepare court documents, submissions, bail applications and plea negotiations
Manage all case-related correspondence and maintain accurate file records
Work with colleagues to develop defence strategies and ensure strong client advocacy
